TRAIL MAINTENANCE:  Painting Blazes - Hampton Blue-blaze Trail

April 6th, 2008 - Cam and I got out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to paint the blazes on the one-mile Hampton Blue-blazed Trail.  We painted the majority of blazes in both directions, and also added a few new ones in crucial areas and junctions.  Cam was a big help as he held the paint can for me while I used the template and brush.  We were also very happy to see that the sign Shannon and I planted a few weeks ago at the junction of the A.T. was still standing and in good shape.

I'll need to return soon to cut some weeds under the power-line cuts of the blue-blaze trail.  Our maintenance hours for this trip was 4.0 each, while we hiked 2.0 miles each.
