15th, 2008 - I
decided at the last-minute to go out after work and check out
Millstone Creek Falls on the far west side of Buffalo
Mountain. This very pretty, 30-foot waterfall is located
on private property, but the owners don't mind visitors as long
as the property is respected. There was small, barely
legible sign posted denoting this. It was a very short
hike, which worked out good for me as I've been nursing a recent
ankle injury. It's probably less than 0.1 miles from the
road (see directions below).
The
photos below are not very good, as I didn't have my tripod with
me. The falls are much prettier in
person. |
